Wow... Just... wow....
So, I'm playing the Gates of Kryta mission with my N/mo. We don;'t have a healer so I get elected to be a healer, and do the best I can.
We get goin, and right before we get into the gates, we fight. After we've won, I announce that I'm out of energy, but lo and behold, they charge forward into the next fight. I come after them, and do what I can to keep them alive, but, they die since I have no energy to begin with, and I start to rezz them. I know, story that has been told a million times.
Here's the new thing. When they start to bitch at me for not healing them, I ask them if they had seen my message that I was out of energy or not. The ranger in the party begins to launch into me, with, and I quote "WTF how could u run outa energy? only n00bs run out of fukin energy put yer fukin points into expertise u n00b!"
.....expertise... on a n/mo.... and having it affect healing..... wow.....
Then, the party actually AGREED with him. At this point I'm in total shock, and when I have two warriors rezzed, they run right back at what they were fighting before, die, and one runs to me screaming for a heal, so I get killed when he dies too. We go back to town, and I leave the party.
A minute later I got a guild invite from the Ranger. What the hell....
So, people, please. Post not just your amazing stories here, but the once in a lifetime uber WTF is wrong with people stories. Not the ones that have been told a million times, but the ones that really make you give up with the human race, and lets have some laughs.

a lot of people are really bad at this game plain and simple. I was doing ring of fire earlier and someone was asking about where to get runes and what do they do.

i was in an all warrior team (dont ask why i joined, i dont even know why), well, they called me a n00b because i used strength instead of tactics, and you can pretty much laugh here, they said tactics is way better than strength because of healing signet...... the crappiest way to heal, its actually more suicide than heal if you ask me.

Well I've only had that sort of experience once, and it wasn't quite as severe as yours.
I was doing Urgent Mission from Ventari's and my party consisted of myself, another Ele, a Monk and a Warrior as the other two players had aleady disconnected
Anyway, we came upon a group of devourers and a devourer boss and after we'd been fighting them for a little while the warrior decides he doesn't stand a chance and so runs away, leaving us, two elementalists and a monk to try to fight off 3 angry devourers.
FFS, he had almost full health when he decided to run away and we all only had about half health left. Needless to say, we all died and when I went back to the outpost I added him to my ignore list and started advertising for a new group with a warrior who actually knew how to do his job.

I go to the random arenas with my smiting monk to test him out. When it's counting down to let us out and kill each other, I say "<-- Smiter" ... "sorry to get your hopes up... haha". Appearantly, no blah blah blah... the others join in in trashing me... i'm still alive and fighting so I explain that I'm a smiter... and that I told them I was a smiter. They explain to me that smiters suck and that monks should stay behind them and heal. After I take out the last warrior, I ask them why I stayed alive and slaughtered several enemies, and they were dead. We were victorious, at which point I left. Idiots...

It's smart to run. It's dumb to run and draw everyone you're fighting directly into your healer.

OK, again not as extreme as Jackell, but when I first started playing Arena with my ranger, before I had pin down, I'd get targeted by warriors a lot. I'd stay on target as long as I could, then run to try and buy time to recuperate. Well, one time I had a warrior who refused to give up, and while my team took out the remaining three members of his team, he and I ran laps around the arena. It was actually pretty funny. Then, suddenly, he's the only one left and dies. As the "victory" message appears on my screen, he rants "quit running you n00b" - and he's the dead one. Yes, I am a noob, but it does seem to me that running has its place.

About the most truely noobish thing I've ever seen was having 2 PC monks in my party and neither of them carrying res spells.

Ooo, that inspired me!
I once had 3 monk allies in a random arena match. ALL of them were smiting monks. NONE of them had ANY healing spells.
Talk about bad luck on my part!

Saddest story in GW
We were gonna kill the last boss (no spoilers attached) who had like 4 health or so, when the game suddenly lags. GW never lagged on me, I have a 10mbit connection so of course no ping problems, but nonetheless it lagged like hell for some seconds. I found myself in a lava pool, hexed with EVERYTHING including George Bush's Intelligence (which keeps your energy pool empty for 20 minutes) and Condoleeza Rice's Philanthropy (which forces you to attack any party member in the area).
Ok, maybe I exaggerated.
Anyway, my health was very low, so I died quickly. The only 3 people alive ran like hell, followed by two Fire Titans. I kept yelling at them: just die, dont take the mobs near the monk, he'll rez you later. Of course, no answer whatsoever. Panic won. Not only they DID take the mobs near the monk, they even managed to get stuck into the only dead end of all the friggin map. Quite frustrating if you ask me.
Oh, and a clear message goes to all the smarty-smarty guys who pompously state:
"In my perfect world, where I can find superior vigor runes every 2 hours and Rurik doesn't even die but is just caressed with a flower and then shakes hands friendly with the xenophobe dwarf king, I have no need whatsoever of PUG, henchies are always enough. 99% of missions of the game can be done with mercs, hey, I even talk to them sometimes, and Alesia is kind of dating me. If you cant finish the game using just henchies, youre not cool"
Please stop it. You are pathetic. Admit finding a good group is a horrible pain, because even if I'm in a guild this doesn't mean the G always baby-sits me or anyone else.
(Don't misunderstand me...even with that, I love this game )

well, during the two opponent part of Thirsty River, my entire team was killed but me and the hero. i manage to keep us alive and kill the mobs that were hitting us. i rezzed everyone else, but while i was rezzing the last person, this idiot warrior comes up, takes the ghostly hero (i had been using touch spells among others to heal him, so i no longer had him following apparently), and types out "i'm going to take the hero in". meanwhile, me and others are typing frantically to get him to stop. it was too late and was right after a priest rez so he came back bringing the entire mob group with him, and i couldn't keep up with healing the hero enough. (was the only primary monk)

Welcome to the world of the monk
Here is my short snippet of retardum:
The mission is Aurora Glade, setup for our team is 2 W/Mo, 1 W/N, 2 El/R and my the Mo/Me. All are above level 17...
About halfway through some massive mob that the warriors somehow managed to aggro, 4 giant spider things start whooping on me and I toss shielding hands, healing seed and healing breeze on myself since nobody seems like they are interested in rescuing me.
So the party wipes except the one elemenatist that wasn't carrying a res signet.
Then the W/N starts saying I should have healed him as he was fighting a lot of guys... I said I was fighting my own battle to stay alive in case I needed to rez everyone. So he said I should have been able to kill those guys...I said that I did a whopping 5 damage to one spider with my killer wand in between trying to keep my self alive.
So he says "WTF, run next time dumb*&^". I explained that I couldn't run due to being body blocked and crippled. Then he tells me I should have a better weapon or at least some damage skills...
I said that I wasn't a smiting monk, only protection/healing. He said "but you should be able to kill fine, I've seen people farm with monks"...
YEAH, MAYBE WITH 12 POINTS IN SMITING AND ONLY FOCUSING ON MY OWN PRESERVATION!!!

LOL
That was my first experience with being a primary monk in quests, my pvp monk does fine. If theres retards on the team, we'll die and be gone in a few seconds then I don't see them again. I had heard the stories about how stupid people were regarding monks, but now to actually see it firsthand is amazing.

Ring of Fire. Oh how i really start to hate that mission. I tried now 5 times with Pug and here are some standard things:
Infusion dilemma:
"all infused?" "yeah" "yo" "yes" and so on... nice all 8 totally infused, we enter map, some morons charge right into the the 8 mantle guys, attract the jade armors and look at that, 2-3 die like flys instantly. YEAH infused! Sure...
Pls listen:
You tell em before and after loading of map how to react, all 5 times there were ppl that charged into the 8 mantle guys. You don't even have to fight em but always some *pleep* charge right into them.
Then the same when you go right into the little corner. 2 mobs of 3 Jade's await you there, one comes from behind one from the side. It is easy if all would listen but nooo. They run into all 6 jades and the 3 mantle guys and if you are lucky they even get the next 3 jade and mantle guys that wait on the hill before that energy drain tower.
I'm really getting sick of this mission.
Even if you beg em not to rush you always have one that steps out of the line. The best pug one can have is a good class mix, one guy who makes the call and leads one through the whole mission.

I have really gotten some good PUGs in the volcanic island area at game's end.
A couple nights ago we did have a useless monk who had bought new armor. Well, you know how that turned out. He spent the entire mission with a -60 dp. Even without him, we won that mission.
Last night, I got in on a PUG for the final mission. They couldn't find a 2nd monk, so I re-attrib'ed for healing. Many times, I was still healing while the Monk primary was standing around with no energy. True, I don't see any action when I'm that far in the back just healing. But it's all good. I think we only had one spot where we were down to 2-3 group members and had to res folks. For the most part, we had very few deaths. Undead Rurik died so fast, I didn't even get to see him much. The Lich didn't kill any of our party members. It was kind of anti-climactic to be an ending mission.
